Brett Cline established the Zebra Cocktail Lounge in 1995 with the goal of bringing great music, and a progressive night life to Bozeman, MT while "promoting world peace through the intelligent application of booze." Over the 19 years the he owned and operated the Zebra he built a well earned reputation for doing just that. In 2007 Brett and Aaron Cline built a beverage catering service that has developed a reputation for being the best in the Valley. In 2014, after all of their hard work and success, Brett and Aaron decided to move on to other challenges and passed the torch to me.
My name is Bryan Hovda. I am the owner of the Zebra Cocktail Lounge, Colonel Blacks Bar, and Zebra Catering MT. I am also a Bozeman native who went to Bozeman Sr. High (1993) - GO HAWKS! - attended Montana State University - GO CATS! In the summer of 2014, after 14 years of working at the Zebra and Colonel Blacks, I purchased both businesses with the goal of carrying on the business ideals and reputation for quality that I had the privilege to help build, with a business I know well and in a town that I love.
